Published in full, this is a recent email we were privileged to receive from Michael, who is enjoying his music enormously!
"My apologies for not writing to you earlier, it's been a hectic summer here! I also wanted to give my new cables plenty of time before reviewing them. In the past, I've often introduced an "upgrade" that sounded impressive initially, only to later realize that I was better without it'
So to my review: In a word, amazing!! I cannot believe that four lengths of wire can transform a sound so dramatically!
As I wrote earlier, I am trying to assemble a "final" system to enjoy in my retirement. I was happy with my turntable array and speakers, but struggled to get the amplification right. Having purchased a Naim CB 250, upgraded with Avondale 300, an olive NAP 52 serviced and upgraded with POTS 8, I still felt that the sound was lacking something. It failed to give me the excitement and adrenaline rush that I had experienced with earlier, cheaper equipment. An album would often come to an end and I would realize that I hadn't really been listening to it.
EWA cables changed all that. From day one, I found my foot tapping uncontrollably, (sometimes my whole body moving with the groove,) I was drawn into the music, listening to small details and hearing all sorts of new sounds. Most importantly for me, the raw emotion of the music was there at a far deeper level than ever before.
I'm not very good at conveying what I'm experiencing with this sound but maybe this will sum things up: the cost to me for your cables was greater than any of the individual components in my system (turntable, arm, cartridge, phono stage, power supply, preamp, power amp, speakers and subwoofer.) But I can honestly say that the vast sum (for me) spent on these cables has been my best purchase of all. I have now gone many months of listening and the only time I find an annoyance over sound quality is due to poor recordings. I have saved some of my "difficult" LPs till last, worrying that they might still disappoint. But every time, they have come through.
I am no longer a hi-fi enthusiast, just a very happy music lover looking to spend my cash on new music rather than new equipment. To say I am pleased would be the understatement of the year!!

When we receive feedback like this, it means a lot to us here at ABCaudio and to Colin over at EWA. It is always good to hear the cable arrived safely, or that it sounds really great in a system. But when someone is so swept up in the music that the HiFi seems secondary, that is what we aim for. It is all about how we experience the musical moments, the reality of those events, and the way it makes us feel. So, thank you Michael! May you enjoy your musical journey for many years to come!
